Due to the Pandemic virus that was spread over the world like the speed of light, people are being forced to stay at their homes.
Since the lockdown is announced, most people have started working from home including me, as well. Here, I will discuss what I observe in these three weeks of work-from-home state.
Note: I am a home person who loves to stay and chill at home rather than going out. My home is my Elysium. So, this lockdown didn’t affect my personality. Also, when this lockdown was announced, I was dancing because of happiness. Lol.
But, later my whole perception was changed. How? Read below. Wink!
Work From Home Is Not What You Expect
What do you expect when you are working from home? Of course, you may be picturing things be like:
- Chilling and working at any time of the day
- Eating and sleeping without being disturbed
- Moving out or in without letting your boss know
- And what's not
But, what you end up with is totally a different thing (at least it was, in my case). No, don’t feel pity for me. I am okay and getting used to it now. Argh!
For now, you can check my case below!

Reality Of Work From Home (WFH)
My first day of “work from home” wasn’t as boring as it was being imagined by me. Though, I enjoyed working in the first week of WFH state. But sooner or later, I had to face reality and realize that what seems nice, isn’t always nice.
The dedicated official hours with the constant online presence in the meeting were tiring as well as worth encouraging.
Being a writer, this norm has disturbed my mind so badly that sometimes, I forget what to write next. Along with this, it has also encouraged us to interact with other team members like we used to do in the office. So, you can say that I am having mixed feelings for WFH. (Now you can feel pity for me). Lol.
More to that, the time that has been induced to complete tasks is more than that of the actual decided time. However, in some cases, working from home more than dedicated hours is right as it allows us to work and chill both together.
Still, not a welcoming thing-to-do, indeed. Therefore, you can overcome the stress, anxiety, and the frustration that are being caused by WFH with many different activities (as the lockdown is not ending soon as per my perception).

Now I will discuss how you can tackle this (believe me, it helped me as well).
Things-To-Do While WFH
The things you can do while working from home:
- If you are a morning person, you can actually have a good morning without being involved in any hurriedness. You can walk, talk, and then can have a good and healthy breakfast.
- You can take small naps in between work, or you can just lie down on your bed for some time to get some rest while keep working in any position. Lol.
- You can have your favorite snack at any time (without being encountered). Plus, you don’t have to count on things you are having (because nobody is judging you for that). Wink!
- While working, you can sing like no one is watching or listening to you. Are you smiling?
- Amazingly, you can just communicate with your family more and can even participate in their conversations. Feeling blessed? huh?
- Right after completing your tasks, you can just turn off the system and go to sleep. Happy now!

Activities After WFH (Dedicated Hours)
You can get yourself indulged in various activities, like:
- Watch your favorite movie on Netflix or on the television (the choice is yours).
- Spend some time with family and have coffee or tea together.
- Cook something delectable, improve your skills, and eat.
- Have some me-time. Read books or write down your thoughts (just like I do).
- Sleep, sleep and sleep.
By doing so, you can make your WFH life the best life, indeed. However, now I have started missing my office routine and hoping this lockdown ending soon. Fingers crossed!!
Bottom Line:
Keep yourself motivated. Work from home with full dedication and determination. With this, try to explore yourself, get engaged in different creative activities and enjoy the most blessed family time.
