Two Ways & Our Decision – Food For Thought

Sometimes, we get an opportunity to choose the way. At that time, we need to decide either to go THIS way or THAT.

ALLAH gives 2 ways to choose from.... Both keep different hurdles and outcomes. One is the way that is liked by ALLAH, and the other way is favorite to demon. Eventually, ALLAH puts the final decision in our hands.

How it happens?

When you reach to that point where you have to make decision, you see two ways right in front of your eyes.

There, if you choose a way which makes you happy with negative thoughts and upsets others, then it is the way that demon likes. This way has also some hurdles but that are not as difficult to surpass as that of you face in a right path.

Now have a look at another scenario.

Let's suppose you select the way that is tricker, keeps a lot of speed breaker and bumps on the road, and you face ups and downs. Still, you feel peace in your heart following the path. Then, it is the way of ALLAH, and it will take you to the place of perpetual happiness.

ALLAH knows His human beings, and by allowing us to make decisions, He puts the final responsibility on our shoulders.

Interestingly, He knows what would the person choose, so he writes down things for us according to it, that is called fate.

By the time, if we ponder, then we can observe that the decisions we make or the ways we choose, we actually do this because HE wants us to do it (as it seems like this).

Well, don't take me wrong... It doesn't mean that He wants us to follow the demon.

As I conversed before, He knows His men's nature.. so He already knows which path would they opt for.

When I was young I read somewhere that people had chosen the scenarios and conditions to live by (on their own) even before birth. Interesting? Well, I got surprised, too.

There, I realized that it is not ALLAH who does wrong to us. It is US who are the main culprits.

In short, ALLAH proposes the 2 options, and tells us about the things we lose or gain after choosing any one. It is us who make decisions and once made either we regret later or we feel contentment.

So, when you reach that stage, come up with the best choice. Remember, the selection you would make, will leave a constant affect on you and your loved ones.

At this moment, a surah al-Anaam verse (connotation) comes in my mind.

"No doubt, not even a leave can move from its place without ALLAH'S will."
