Books are really good things when you have a spare time and book reading is a good habit which keeps your mind diverted towards constructive thoughts rather than having indulged in something wrong.
From books, we can learn various things and reactions towards different situations. A habit of book reading makes a perspective of an individual about anything happening around and an individual learns to demonstrate different scenarios and to figure out what to do in different circumstances based on what is wrong and what is right.
How do I get myself into Book Reading?
Since the start, my mother used to urge me to read a newspaper (in which I was least interested). My brother used to read a newspaper daily and was keenly interested in reading different books. He was very much into current affairs and that involvement came into him by my parents. Anyhow, My mother used to compare me with him to which I never had given any importance (but in my heart I did).

My mother noticed my interest in stories. So she let me read different stories that came into the "children corner" of the newspaper, after that she gave us permission to read novels in a digest that used to come home every month. I still remember my brother had given so many of his books to me when I was a kid like "Taleem o Tarbiyat, stories (Robinson Crusoe, around the world in 80 days and there was one more), books on jokes & quotes , etc." Among all of them, I read a few and sadly disposed off them after some time.
Novels/books that inspired me
I remember when I passed my matric, I got a special permission from my mother to read the first spiritual novel (and seriously I couldn't find anything best than that so far) was Peer-e-Kamil (S.A.W.W.), Written by Umera Ahmad. Everything the lines, the situations and even the characters inspired me in a very positive way. I got to know about so many things about which I had no idea before.
Other novels were Musahif & Namal written by Nemrah Ahmad. Another very interesting novels I have gone through. How beautifully the writer put verses of the HOLY QURAN as per the requirements of different situations.

Then I got to read a lot of Urdu Writers who done a great job like Umera Ahmad, Nemrah Ahmad themselves, Hashim Nadeem, Farhat Ishtiaq, Kabir Chaudhry, etc. I also read some of the English books like twilight series, pride & prejudice and few more but the one that I enjoyed reading was The subtle art of not giving a f*ck written by Mark Manson. A book worth reading, what a positive approach was discussed in that book. Another book which inspired me a lot was written by Abu Yahya, Jab Zindagi Shuru Hogi. This book always gives me goosebump, gives a complete and eternal view of the afterlife. It represents the realities of life which can't be neglected. Recently, I read the book The Forty Rules of Love by Elif Shafik which was an amazing approach on Love, Mainly focused on the love and relationship between a Man & A God. The author has also demonstrated the love and bond between Mawlana Jalal-ud-Din Rumi & Shams of Tabriz (along with with his 40 rules of love), just a great addition to my library.
What have I learned?
I learned a lot of things like trust, goods & bads, relationships, positivity and much more. Sometimes we do relate to the stories we read and feel like we are reading our own story and sometimes we find out solutions to our problems through them.
Book reading has given me a lot of ways to look into in my life. This is how I can feel related to life. This habit of mine and the books inspired me to help me to reach up to maximum people, my problem's solution and conclusions.
Advice:If you don't have a habit of book reading, start it with a small phrase. It gives a new school of thoughts and if you already have a habit of book reading, then try to find out the positives from even the negatives.
Happy Reading!
