Earthquakes happen when the earth shakes for a few seconds or mins. Earthquakes are very normal everywhere. Usually, when an earthquake happens, people try to get themselves out of the congested areas and buildings. Because earthquakes bring disasters with them most of the time.

We used to get afraid of them. We start reciting any verse that comes up in our minds or we start taking the name of our Lord, our Creator.

I used to think that what is this "Earthquake"? As it takes everyone's heart out when an earthquake happens with just a bit of the shake of the earth only for a few seconds. I mean, those few seconds can destroy anything and actually destroys many things. Still, we don't see signs in them and right after the earthquake "scene", everyone gets back to his/her normal routine. Earthquakes become just talk for somebody but an earthquake becomes someone's "life incident" after which he/she can never get back to his/her normal life.

I am thankful to ALLAH that He saved me from any damage that can be occurred during the earthquakes until now. But I feel a lot for those who suffered. Because after that suffering, they suffer a lot more other things throughout their lives.

I remember the first earthquake I felt, that was on 8 October 2005. I was in school and suddenly I felt the earth was shaking badly and I asked my teacher (Is the earth-shaking?). I was standing beside my teacher and she told me yes it is. Then she asked everyone out there in the class to go out into the ground. That was a great massacre with a moment magnitude of 7.6. It smashed down many parts of the earth, destroyed many buildings, took many lives. Many heart-wrenching stories we heard of many earthquake survivors.

Another earthquake that was severe in the magnitude of 7.2 occurred in the same month of 2015, I was in the basement of my home and right after the feeling of the shaking of the earth came up, I ran up to the outskirts of my house. It also made everyone cried with lots of deaths and damages.

The most recent earthquake occurred in September 2019 with a magnitude of 5.8. But the funny thing (or may be I should be thankful for that) was that I couldn't feel it. I did not get any feeling of the earthquake and it passed but still, it had shaken my heart when I got to know about it. I felt blessed as me and my whole family got survived again.

Till we are alive, we have to go through many incidents in our lives like these earthquakes, hurricanes or many other natural disasters. But the thing that matter either you survived or not is the faith with which you left with only at the end. So, Everyone of us should try to keep ourselves clean in any way.
