8 Books Everyone Should Read At Least Once In Life

In one of my previous blogs, I had told that in my childhood, I wasn't a very big fan of reading. Although, my mother always tried to make my habit of reading newspapers (at least kids section), and also some other reading stuff like taleem o tarbiyat (in English: education & training book). But, I had never paid heed to this.

More to that, my elder brother happened to be a profound reader since forever. He used to gulp every single reading material that is found somewhere.

Over time, as I always idealized my brother, I used to copy him in many ways. So, I thought why not imitate him in reading? Then, I decided to give it a try.

(Yes, he is the same and I still love to follow his footprints.)

Besides, my mother, being a religious practitioner, always asked us to get knowledge about religion.

I always admire my mom who had infused firm love for ALLAH and religion Islam in us. In this world, I would definitely give credit to my mama for helping me build a robust connection with the LORD and His creature.

In short, my interest was developed in both reading and then more into non-fictional stuff including spiritual, motivational, religious, and inspirational content because of these 2 angelic people.

Below I have gathered some ideas for you, out of concern. Why am I concerned? Well, the world is heading to the end of the world. Therefore, it is important to get back in the right lane before it's too late.

For now, check the suggestions and thank me later.

The Great Holy Books

Being a Muslim, knowing about your ethics, morals, and dignity is important. In the Holy Quran, you would find all the preachings stuff that you wanted to learn from the same place. Moreover, the Quranic verses and Ahdeees have some hidden meanings. If you really want to explore them, you must check Islam360 where everything is gathered in one single app.

Peer-e-Kamil

The first book that actually gave me goosebumps was Peer-e-Kamil, and I got realized where do I stand as a Muslim. Umera Ahmad has beautifully described the love for the Holy Prophet (S.A.W.W.) in her book. Therefore, I suggest you read this book at least once. For Urdu readers, get the book from here.

Jub Zindagi Shuru Hogi

Perfect imaginary visualization of the judgment day is being told in this book. You will read the events that would occur in sequence. Eventually, the way of telling this story is exceptionally breathtaking. The book is written by Abu Yahya.

Qasas-ul-Anbia

This book is the interpretation of the Holy Quran and contains the stories about all the Prophets of ALLAH. Although, the language is a bit hard. Still, when you maintain a flow it takes you to the glorious history of Islam. Originally written by Imam Ibn Khattir R.A.

Robinson Crusoe

In a novel by Daniel Defoe, Robinson Crusoe was a character who finds himself, castaway, on an island and spends almost 3 decades of his life there and later survives into the woods using his brain and skills. Interestingly, the pity boy never stopped trying to leave the place, and ultimately gets his goal.

The Subtle Art of Not Giving A F*CK

In this book, Mark Manson has given some reality checks. For example, he says that start taking your responsibilities and stop blaming others. Not only this, but he advises to stay contented and stop judging yourself or even others. Success and failures come together and if you really want to stay happy, you have to accept the bitter truths of life. There is a lot he said and I just loved this non-fictional book.

The Forty Rules Of Love

Source
Elif Shafak has elaborated the lovely bond between Shams of Tabriz & Moulana Rumi in this book. Also, the 40 inspiring rules of love narrated by Shams of Tabriz, the wandering Dervaish are a must-read. As there are plenty of quotes about love and life by both Nobel personalities. For example, there comes a quote by Rumi in mind, that is:
"Love can't be explained, it can only be experienced. Love can't be explained, yet it explains all."

Everything Is F*CKed

The comparison between thinking brain and feeling brain, and then there are some hard truths of life about happiness and feelings. Things that we like consciously and unconsciously, everything is explained in this book by Mark Manson. Indeed, the content is motivational and thought-provoking and you won't stop yourself from agreeing to his point of view at various places. So, yes, it is a good read as well.
As I conversed before that I like non-fictional stuff more than fictional or romantic content. That's why I mentioned my top 8 favorites above.
Other books that are worth mentioning are:
  • Namal by Nemrah Ahmad
  • Musahaf By Nemrah Ahmad
  • Imaan Umeed Muhabbat By Umera Ahmad
  • Khuda Or Muhabbat By Hashim Nadeem
  • and many other
Other than this, I am right reading Elif Shafak's "10 minutes, 38 seconds in this strange world." The start is captivating. However, the flow was broken, so now I will be back on my reading routine to keep you updated with this book.

Endnote

Reading makes you sensible and responsible for your words. More to that, if we say that books are our genuine friends, then it won't be wrong. Make a habit of reading different stuff, either it's a blog or some book. The more you read, the more you explore, and the less you would think about negativity.
Happy Reading!
